2. HISTORY OF ESTABLISHMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
On November 27, 2013, the Center for Admissions, Communications and Corporate Relations was established, with its predecessor being the Marketing Research Center (now the Department of Admissions, Communications and Corporate Relations). The unit was assigned the responsibility of advising the Rector on the organization and implementation of admissions, corporate relations, and communication activities, as well as disseminating information about the University's key activities. Over more than ten years of development, the unit has played a pioneering role in several major areas, including admissions counseling and career guidance, corporate relations, communications, and student services and support.
These activities have contributed to improving the quality of education, strengthening the UFM brand, and supporting the successful implementation of the Development Strategy of the University of Finance – Marketing for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2045. The University's career guidance and admissions counseling activities have been continuously improved over the years. Cooperation with businesses has become increasingly substantive and effective, both in terms of scale and quality. In particular, communication and information activities have received increasing attention and investment, with continuous improvements in content, visual presentation, and digital technologies. These efforts have contributed to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the University's communications with the public.
3. FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
3.1. Functions The Department of Admissions, Communications and Corporate Relations is a service and training-support unit at the departmental level under the University.
The Department advises and assists the Rector in organizing and managing admissions counseling, corporate relations, and communications activities of the University. The Department serves as the focal point and takes the lead in organizing and implementing admissions counseling and career guidance for the University's regular, work-study, and distance-learning programs. It is also responsible for coordinating corporate relations, information and communications activities, and events organized by the University.
3.2. Duties Serve as the focal point for organizing and implementing admissions counseling and career guidance activities across all forms of education offered by the University.
Develop plans, submit them to the Rector for approval, and serve as the focal point for implementing the University's annual admissions counseling activities for regular undergraduate programs; support admissions counseling activities for work-study, distance-learning, and international joint programs in accordance with plans approved by the Board of Management.
Develop communication strategies and plans concerning the University and its activities.
Develop and manage relationships with media organizations; promote the University's brand through mass media; communicate information and messages about the University's educational, research, and consulting programs and services to the community in a timely and effective manner; and establish the University's internal communications system.
Organize events nationwide to promote the University's admissions, education, and scientific research activities, with a view to expanding promotional activities across Southeast Asia.
Organize information and communication activities through the University's LCD and LED systems.
Coordinate with the Department of Organization and Administration in managing and supervising compliance with regulations on information and communication activities within and outside the University; develop the University's regulations and policies on communications and corporate relations.
Organize and publish publications and communication products related to the University, including gifts, UFM traditional attire, sports uniforms, and other promotional materials; and materials introducing the University's admissions activities and academic programs.
Establish and manage the University's communications database and regularly update the University's image database.
Organize and operate the University's student employment information portal, serving as a bridge between businesses, employers, and students to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of employment opportunities. Serve as the focal point for establishing cooperative relationships with businesses, organizations, and individuals in support of educational activities and student development.
Organize employment and job placement activities for students. Implement student support activities, including career fairs, internship placement and introduction of internship providers, thematic seminars, networking events with businesses and alumni, and other student support services.
Organize career networking sessions and activities aimed at enhancing students' professional and career-related skills. Seek and mobilize scholarship funds and educational sponsorships for students, as well as sponsorships for students' cultural, artistic, sports, and community-oriented social activities.
Coordinate with the Department of Testing and Quality Assurance in implementing internal quality assurance activities, institutional and program-level self-assessment, and quality accreditation in accordance with the University's plans.
Coordinate with the Department of Finance and Accounting, the Department of Planning and Investment, and relevant units to develop annual budget estimates and short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans in accordance with the University's regulations.
Coordinate with other units in carrying out tasks arising during the University's operations.
Submit regular and ad hoc reports on the Department's activities as required by the University.
Fully implement records management, document administration, and archiving procedures in accordance with applicable laws and the University's regulations.
Effectively manage and utilize human resources, facilities, equipment, and other resources assigned to the Department; practice thrift and prevent waste within the unit.
Proactively organize and implement other tasks and exercise other authorities not specifically stipulated above, while coordinating with relevant units to ensure the effective fulfillment of the Department's functions, duties, and authorities and those of related units.
Perform other duties and exercise other authorities as prescribed or assigned by the Rector.
